Happy Holidays!
We would like to take a moment to wish you and your families the happiest of holidays. May you find joy and comfort in the time spent with friends and family during the holiday season.

Next year promises to be an exciting year for Gilmore Design Group, and we want to thank you for subscribing to our newsletter as we pass along design and technical insight to you. So while you enjoy this shortened newsletter, raise your glasses and lets make a toast to 2006 ... may we all enjoy new experiences and success in the coming year!
Figure-Ground
Figure-Ground is the visual unity, yet separability, of a form and its background. Certain alternating figures may help to convey the potential confusion resulting from ambiguity in the figure-ground relationship. One is an alternating figure commonly called a "magic cube": the transparent cube in the center below. Which of its sides is nearest to you? Is it the one made solidly blue on the cube to the left or is it the blue side on the cube to the right, or is there no nearest side at all?
DNS (Domain Name System)
An Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Because domain names are alphabetic, they are easier to remember. The internet, however, is really based on IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, a DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address.

For example, the domain name www.traditionalhomeservices.com will translate to 208.53.128.229.
